A little help

Keep your orders moving.

Practical help for importing, reviewing, and preparing wholesale orders in Tradefold.

First-order setup help · Included on all plans

Let’s work through your first order.

Ask about fit before installing, or get a hand with Free Start. We’ll help you bring in one representative buyer order, review product matches, case quantities and buyer prices, then prepare the draft for your approval.

Get first-order help ↗

Opens your email app; nothing is sent automatically. If you use webmail, write to hello@tradefold.app with your store domain, order format and approximate monthly volume. Keep customer documents, passwords and payment details out of the enquiry. Import real orders through the app.

We’ll guide the checks; you approve the Shopify draft. Setup help includes one first-order session and one repeat-order check, within 30 minutes total per store. It does not change the Free Start allowance or plan terms.

See the workflow first: greeting-card example or candle example. Both use fictional order data.

Your first reviewed order

  1. Install Tradefold from the Shopify App Store and approve the plan terms shown by Shopify.
  2. Open Tradefold from your Shopify admin. Import a PDF, XLSX or CSV, paste an order, or use your assigned inbox.
  3. Check the original, buyer, catalog matches, cases, quantities and prices. Resolve warnings before approval.
  4. Approve draft creation, then open the draft in Shopify to check addresses, tax, shipping and payment terms.

Supports Shopify store currencies. No currency conversion is performed.

Need a detailed example? Follow the purchase-order guide or check case packs and buyer prices.

Make your first branded pro forma

  1. Open an order with an approved Shopify draft and select Create pro forma.
  2. Choose Atelier, Ledger or Studio. Or open AI design, describe a style such as “Classic, compact and blue”, select Generate a design. The suggested layout and conversation are saved with this order.
  3. Drag the dotted handles on the document to move sections, or use the up/down arrows. Products stay before verified totals. Use Add text & variables to insert supported order fields; values resolve from the current draft.
  4. Use Brand for business details and logo. Set your paper size, spacing and ink, then select Save design to reuse the workspace layout.
  5. Select Load current draft preview. Review addresses, payment terms, all line items, tax, shipping and totals. Confirm the review, choose Create PDF export, then download the document.

Open AI documents to upload a new order or reopen an existing one. Review and approve the Shopify draft first, then continue in its design conversation. Save document keeps your current document settings; Saved layouts lets you restore up to 10 recent layouts. Chat keeps the latest 40 messages. Saved layouts do not replace your current brand details or note.

Only five preset style choices go to AI design. Your typed text, logo, buyer details, order lines and amounts are excluded from that request. Order extraction is a separate AI process, explained in our privacy policy.

Editing the design requires a fresh draft preview and review before export. Saving a new design does not change PDFs you already exported. Nothing is emailed or marked paid by exporting.

All plans include the builder. It supports one saved workspace layout, up to three custom text blocks, A4 or US Letter and documents of up to 250 lines. PDF labels are English; unsupported characters are flagged. A pro forma is not a tax invoice or payment receipt.

Common questions

Does AI send orders automatically?

No. Check the original source, buyer, matched products, quantities, case sizes, and prices. Merchant approval is required before a Shopify draft is created. Creating a draft does not collect payment or fulfill goods.

What if an import or extraction fails?

Open the order and read its status. Review the original document and correct the details manually, or retry processing when the cause is resolved. Do not upload the same order repeatedly to work around an error.

Why does an item need review?

A product, price, quantity, or case size may need confirmation. Compare it with the source document. Buyer aliases and case rules help match repeat orders, but you remain responsible for approval.

How are subscriptions managed?

Open Billing in Tradefold to check your subscription or open Shopify’s plan selector. Shopify shows the applicable plan terms before confirmation. Only successfully created Shopify drafts consume the draft allowance.

How does Free Start work?

Free Start includes 10 successfully created Shopify drafts total per store, with no expiry on unused draft credits and no automatic paid upgrade. Earlier trial drafts share this allowance. Switching plans does not reset it. Failed drafts and edits do not count; uncertain results reserve a slot until checked.

It also includes 25 AI attempts total, shared across order extraction and document design. Failed or interrupted attempts count. Daily AI, source intake, storage and service capacity limits also apply; your workspace shows current limits. No-expiry credits do not promise indefinite document retention.

At either cap, your existing work remains available. You can import CSV/Excel, review orders and edit templates manually when AI is exhausted. Choose a paid plan in Shopify when you need more. Existing paid trials keep their approved terms and shared 10-draft allowance.

How do I request access or deletion?

Read the privacy notice, then contact us with the store domain and type of request. Buyers should contact their merchant first.
